Gas Safety Checks
A gas safety check is not the same as a gas service. It’s designed inspect any gas appliances in your home including boilers and cookers to ensure they are still working safely. A gas safety check has to be carried out by a Gas Safe Registered engineer.
A gas safety check is designed to check that:
– The appliance is operating at the correct pressure.
– There is an adequate air supply to the appliance.
– Flues and chimneys are clear and enable the appliance to emit gases and fumes safely outside.
– All safety devices on the appliance, like cut out devices, are working correctly.
Gas Safety checks are essential to your well-being, and deciding not to schedule regular gas safety checks for your home could have dangerous consequences, that’s why we recommend you have them each year.
Boilers are more likely to break down in winter, when they’re the most used, but they can break down at any time of the year. That’s why it’s essential to keep your boiler in tip-top condition and have an annual boiler service. It will ensure you don’t need it replaced too quickly, as a boiler can be anything from a few hundred to thousands of pounds depending on the brand.
RSPS can carry out an annual boiler service for you, helping you save money in the long run, and ensuring your boiler is still in great condition.
